RST Mandurah, Woodman Point, Hillarys, Maylands, Bunbury, Australind!
We have you covered!

YOU request when and where you  want – We will find the nearest Skippers Ticket trainer to you*.
EVERY DAY we have trainers at boat ramps, marinas etc around WA*.

Skippers Ticket courses take approximately 3 – 3.5 hours if you have studied the Workbook well and can handle the boat safely (it’s NOT a skill test – its more about safety). Our patient team will take you through the practical – all our students tell us that is the fun part!

*Subject to availablity

How we do it

You arrive at the ramp, meet the trainer, sit in our Woodman Point, Hillarys or Maylands classroom, or sit on a comfy bench at the water’s edge, even sit on the boat and do the 40 question multiple-choice test. It takes most people 20-30 minutes.

When you have passed – (and you WILL if you have studied the workbook and read our extra study notes) you get in the boat and get guided through the practical by our trainer assessor. The assessor will demonstrate, you will practice, and when your training is over, you get assessed. Passing students receive an Interim Skippers Ticket Certificate on the day.

MANDURAH NEW BOAT OWNERS
The very first time you take your brand new boat to the water, book a course and have one of our trainers meet you there to assist you in getting to know it by booking on of our custom Boat Handling courses. Our Mandurah Trainer can show you – free – how to launch, set up the ropes etc and help you practise and get to know your new vessel. After you have practised, you can then enjoy boating for the rest of the day with confidence.

Whether it be a new multimillion dollar Sunseeker, a great little tinnie or a jet ski, many boat sales yards arrange for us to assist new boat owners with their maiden voyage.

Skippers Ticket Locations

While we can accommodate a large variety of skippers ticket locations of your choice, we recommend using the Mary Street Boat Ramp when ever possible. This boat ramp provides good ramp facilities and an ideally sheltered locations making it very suitable for beginner boaters. However, if you have your personal jetty then we can most certainly accommodate.

For general boating information for the Mandurah area, be sure to download the Dept of Transport’s online boating guide by clicking here.
